Your ski equipment obviously needs to include first and foremost a good pair of skis. Be sure that you choose a pair that are the right size for your level of experience. Choosing a pair of skis that are too long, or too short, can end up causing you to get injured when you headed down the slopes.

Also included in a good ski equipment package, is a good pair of boots. Be certain that the boots you choose are snug fitting. Ill fitting boots are also a major cause of injury to novice skiers. Your boots should fit your foot snugly, without being too tight. Be certain that the bindings are in good condition, and that they fit well on your ski. Chances are, if your boot doesn’t quite seem to fit your ski, your skis are probably too small for you.

Also be sure to include plenty of warm clothing in your ski equipment ensemble. A heavy, warm parka, long underwear, snow pants, warm gloves, and a good set of goggles are very important to have when you get out in the fresh powder. Be sure to include several pairs of thick, warm socks as well. The last thing you want is for your toes to get frostbitten.
